The Lock-N-Lift system sets the standard for road plate handling on civil and construction sites. ⭐ RECOMMENDED
Fitted by us — welded before dispatch
The #500F receiver plate is welded flush into your road plate at our Sydney facility before it ships. Nothing to install on site — arrives ready to use. Sits level with the plate surface, no raised edges, no trip hazard.
DIY OPTION
Plate only — weld yourself
#500F receiver plate supplied loose. Welding must be carried out by a qualified welder to AS 1554.1:2014 SP or AS 1554.5:2014. Full weld procedure included — download the Townley installation guide.
📐 For plates 3m or longer: Two receiver plates and a spreader bar are recommended. Position each plate at the one-third point along the longest dimension.

⚠️ Vertical straight line lifting only. Do not drag, pull, push or side-load. Exceeding the WLL or misuse will void the warranty and the working load limit will become unknown.
⚙️ How the System Works

Dovetail locking connection
The lifting tool engages via a dovetail mechanism — no bolts, no chains through holes, no hands near the plate edge.

Elongated eye for rigging
Accepts chain slings, hooks, or shackles — compatible with standard lifting equipment already on site.

Weld-in installation
Welded directly into the road plate per the supplied weld procedure. Becomes a permanent, flush part of the plate.

No trip hazard
Sits flush with the plate surface when fitted — no raised edges, nothing protruding above the plate.
🔩 Construction & Quality

Forged, not cast
Forging eliminates porosity that makes cast fittings a liability in high-load applications. Grain-aligned for maximum impact resistance.

AISI 4340 Chrome Moly steel
Normalized, quenched and tempered — the same alloy used in aerospace and heavy structural applications.

Licensed manufacture
Produced under licence from Townley, the original patent holder — full design compliance, not an imitation product.
